Personally I don't care for the idea, but it's one of those things that'll happen regardless and isn't really worth the trouble of trying to put people in jail for. Obviously street prostitution shouldn't be legal, but if people want to build brothels or some shyt then hey yolo .

At least that way you can force people to get licenses, take STD tests, have security, etc.

Why?

Mainly due to the fact that when something is legalized it artificially creates a larger market for that specific skill or item. Keeping it illegalized atleast minimizes the size of the market.

Overall, legalizing it would simply create more Jons' and Hoes and a host of other problems IMO.

I remember coming across VD statistics in WWII in Italy where prostitution was legalized at the time, and what eventually happened is that 'p*ssy' became somewhat of a social currency like cash, every other woman was offering ass for something that they wanted. With that of course came higher rates of everything in the negative.

Legalizing it never erased the black market, it just expanded it.

I feel the same about keeping drugs illegal as well BTW.
