1) Prokhorov would not be dealing directly with Howard. Howard's agent would be the one doing any negotiating

2) Howard is a member of the Orlando Magic until the end of the 2013 season. Any sort of impermissible contact is tampering.

There are several logical reasons for Howard to be hellbent on going to Brooklyn (they're no longer in Jersey) other than conspiracy theories.

No offense bruh, but you sound like a kid right now. I understand what's 'permissible' and whats not. Unfortunately, the world doesnt work like that. Dwight would bring that franchise billions of dollars. Not millions, but BILLIONS. The stakes are high. Some people find the need to do anything possible in order to make it happen. Prokhorov strikes me as that type of dude. (watch his 20/20 special from a year ago if you need more info on my feeling)

As for Prok not dealing directly with Dwight ... you're probably right. He'd rather send Billy King to 'impermissibly' contact Dwight this past season when they met up in South Beach. :usure:

I'm just stating the facts. I'm not arguing what Howard would bring to the table for Brooklyn. It would be a great move for him and that franchise given they struck out on LeBron and company.

I'm just disagreeing with the backdoor/under-the-table conspiracy theories that are being floated around like the truth. The reality is that if any sign of tampering/illegal negotiations come to the surface, all parties are fukked. That's why I brought up the Joe Smith thing because that was an illegal, under the table deal that was discovered and pounced upon.

Billy King is also the jackass that signed Dalembert, Korver, and Willie Green (post reconstructive knee surgery) to absurd contracts while with the Sixers. I wouldn't put it past him to do something illegal to rectify his past mistakes.

I agree with everything you said here .. but as for the bolded part .. the title of the thread is Do you think Prokhorov and Dwight have some under the table deal? .. aint nobody saying it's for certain .. it just seems that way to many many people. Myself included.

Anyone that thinks there's some sort of under the table thing going on is a moron. You'll be knee high in shyt if there's some evidence of this taking place.

No one remembers this?

NBA.com - NBA Punishes Timberwolves for Secret Deal with Smith

I don't think even Russian Billionaires want it with Stern.

There is always speculation

There was speculation that Heat and Mourning had one with Mourning in '97 when the NBA voided the contract we gave Juwan Howard in his prime.

There was also speculation about Udonis Haslem's contract in 2010 when we offered him much less than Dallas was willing to give and he stayed.

I'm just saying that i find it odd that dude insists on going to a squad who didnt even contend for a playoff spot when Dallas and Lakers could offer equal money and fame

The Wolves had the same problem Bill Clinton did: THEY GOT CAUGHT!!!

I'm sure they were not the first NOR will they be the last to try this

Billy King fukked up .. got nervous, and acted the fool. It's as simple as that. I dont think it had anything to do with a possible deal between Dwight and Prok. Hell .. who knows if a said deal wasn't struck between then after Dwight opted in. :ehh:

If they do then Prokhorov has gotta be :snoop: right now. Dwight could've just gone to Brooklyn on July 1 and that would be that. Instead this fool signs an extension just to turn around a demand a trade. These teams gotta stop giving in to these guys and make them chose between money and location.

If you're a grown ass man in control of your decisions and know what you want to do w/ your life why would you fukk your life over for staying in Orlando when you know it's not what you want to do? Bron got that hatred because of the decision, nikka. Dwight would never be dumb enough to do that. Finally, would you follow your mother off the bridge because it's yo momma? Some of ya'll nikkas, I swear. Catch reality
