No I don't think he's funny. Imo The Hughleys show was among the worst black sitcoms during that time nothing about that show was funny I only use to watch it to catch Elise Neal

I guess he was given a show because him being one of the Kings of Comedy, but I always felt that Bernie Mac and Steve Harvey were always funnier than him I look at Hughley as more of a "punchline" comedian who can say some funny shyt here and there but not enough to keep you interested long enough.

Tbh it’s not much to explain. He was in my store shopping and like dude has a weird vibe I’ve met enough celebs to know they’re just regular people with money, but you can tell fame has took a toll on him. He was trying to be incognito with a big black fedora damn there whispering to us for help in case anyone recognized him. People knew he was famous.’c they just couldn’t pin point what particular celebrity he was. I agree with this. The nikka is more of a good talker than orator than a comedian, IMO.He's agreeable funny. He will say some relatable shyt that makes you chuckle. But the nygga ain't gonna have you in stitches.
His Comedy is like an off the bench version of Chappelle and Chris Rock but he doesn't have that extra gear to get you to really laugh

DL is funny. He’s more of a social commentator in public than a comedian.
He’s hilarious in interviews.
His stand up is good but he falls back into routines often. When he goes off the cuff is best.

If you watch his interviews where he's unfiltered, he's naturally funny as fukk. Some of his work is hit or miss to me, but when he's off the cuff, or he's just roasting people in the crowd, there aren't many better
some people are funnier off the cuff then with their standup,smh at people questioning "is he funny" as a blanket statement. He's a comedian who has been around and entertained rooms of people for decades
