Ehhhh those positions don’t aren't contingent upon the entire country like the presidency is.

I get your overall point, but the pool of candidates for, and the party nominees have been, US Senators and Governors going back decades. Trump and (H.W) Bush are the exceptions that come to mind.

With more and more minority members and women winning those seats, there are more of them in the pool of viable candidates.

And I havent counted those who are Latino/a.


The voter demographics are changing, and "contingent upon the entire country" and what that entails changes also.
