Naw, I don't because developing video games cost a lot a money now than back then, so I can understand them using the elements, assets, etc, as long as they use it in another way that benefits the player in a new unique experience different than the last game. Just like with Far Cry 3, 4, (I can't speak on PRIMAL since I haven't played it yet), of course it's Far Cry, so has it's own formula like most, but it's still the same experience that doesn't make it a big difference in-between them.
This is nothing new, you already see this in annual game releases. Ultimately, I feel like they keep wasting resources for AC and FC games every year. The same with Activation with COD. EA with BF and NFS even though they actually let NFS 2015 be made in two years of development instead of every year, last year and with the PC version just released with the updates on the consoles, they actually just gave most of what people wanted like free updates, 4K resolution(only on PC version), manual transmission, 60 FPS(only on PC version), etc.
This is also why you are starting to see annual DLC like The Division, and Destiny now a days, which I'm sure more games coming out are gonna follow this trend later on. I wouldn't even be surprised to see COD taking this route as new, despite the fact that it's still the same thing just looking as another way to release every year, because they steady keep beating the dead horse every year.
This is exactly why MGS and Uncharted is my all time favorite franchise. MSG and UC is also guilty doing the same thing, recycling the same formula after each game, but each one was a whole new experience than the last.
I just hope this year, they stop the yearly releases and take more time in creating new unique experiences.
