He's the hook on my favorite song ever, probably, "Street Dreams" (Remix) and I still listen to that

He's on "Be Careful", which I love, that's one of the songs that like showed me how dope R&B was, I must have been like 12, just in all honesty, that whole 97-99 era, "Gotham City", is so much a part of my childhood, watching the video for "When A Woman's Fed Up", at a young age, the actual cd for R, the red and black ones, my friends older sister playing his shyt in the car, I think at least for me, some of the stuff I still play is at least LESS sexual than his other work. Home Alone is like a hit of raw dopamine and I'm back in playgrounds in Spring Valley with blackend asphalt on my hands, and Z90 playing.

I can't fully let go, and I still play some of those tracks. I lost enough close homies that "I Wish" will choke me up, 30 seconds in, and I even played that the other day too.

And I followed EVERYDAY of the trial, read the indictments, I know exactly how sick he was.

I thought you were older than that, you missed the golden era of his career….12 Play and even the self titled album with Down Low, the stuff you named was late in the game

I have HEARD those albums, and I like some of it, but it's not the same when it's of the moment, as you are a kid. Like I mentioned, 'Home Alone" is like drug like how it takes me back, and the way it makes me feel, more so than anything else, connecting you to those memories. I don't know about the overtly sexual stuff, "Half On A Baby", and all that, might make me uncomfortable.

Age Ain't Nothing But A Number is one of my favorite Alliyayh songs, and that's a little weird.

Hearing them later is not the same as when they came out and were getting radio play, you missed the real r Kelly era

Yeah then I remembered about holllywood and all the movies I like that were produced , directed and written people who did worse. :manny:
It's the conviction that is the nail in the coffin. Sure you can throw a bunch allegations at someone but when there's an entire investigation and the conclusion is you gotta do years in the pen just makes things way different

I can’t bring myself to listen to anything that man did. And it’s a damn shame cause he has CLASSIC TIMELESS records..:wow:

But it’s a forever tainted because of his actions. And that documentary didn’t help him either when you see woman after woman after woman after woman get in the camera and describe what he did to them it just leaves you like :gucci:

Like those young women and his actions really were the muse for his music. It’s nasty as hell…:hhh:

Every now and then something he produced or featured on would pop up on my streaming playlists.. but that’s about it..

Now do I judge anybody that still freely listens to him? Not really..it’s just music at the end of the day. And people don’t think like me..

At one point R. Kelly WAS R&B. Like he was THE undisputed king…damn fukking shame.

R. Kelly has songs that I still listen to, but I was never a fan like that. I respect his work and like a lot of his songs as well songs he wrote and produced for others. I also like some of the features he did. That said, I never owned an R. Kelly album.

I don't get what not listening to his music is supposed to accomplish.
