Honestly, I think you have the mind set of a new generation young person.

I think when you grow a lil older, you'll probably want to have children of your own.

Most people don't even care too much about their future at 19. Just wait till you get a little older.

As for your parents, .

They might just be getting old, and want some grandkids. Or they might think you're gay.

I feel a little bit of pressure to get married but I have plans to pursue a PHD. And since marriage requires a lot of personal sacrifice, I plan to a wait a few more years before tying the knot. Explain to your parents exactly what it is you want. I'm sure they'll understand and encourage you. IMO, education is very important.. even if you have to take a break from your career to focus on the first few years of your baby's life, you can stack those qualifications on your kitchen wall
