Do you participate in any charities?

I donate to a few each year...usually through something a coworker might set up in the office, or through some charities that my friends promote on Facebook.

I used to participate in the LA Food Bank when I lived out west and headed up the local sales office.

Every year we assist the March of Dimes and in the winter, we'd ship several boxes of goodies to the troops abroad for the Super Bowl.

This year the northeast region of our company is supporting the Wounded Warriors, which I believe assists soldiers in need here in the States.

Volunteering and donating is good for the soul, brehs.

United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and my family.

Habitat for Humanity sounds interesting.

I disagree.
I think people respond to what gets promoted and highlighted in their lives.

We glorify video hoes and arrogant musicians. So that's what our youth winds up becoming.

We need to promote being thoughtful, a bit more selfless and giving.

United Way is like a clearing house/holding company for smaller community based charities. You must have seen the NBA and NFL commercials supporting them.

It always seems like they're a youth group center

I'm talking letting ppl know that u do.

Of course; joining and recruiting for the purpose of strengthening your efforts is one thing. But, listing how "charitable" u are, for the purposes of daps/praise is another.
