There are layers of assumptions you have to fight on all levels of those categories. First with nerd is the assumption that because you are into certain fandoms, you must look or act a certain way. Personally, I'm a grown ass chick and I like anime more than most cinema. I've just never stopped loving cartoons since I was a kid. But I also enjoy fashion and looking feminine.

If ur a blk nerd, it's assumed ur a sellout b/c ur into stuff that isn't regularly associated with "blkness"

And if ur a female nerd, this is compounded with the assumption that you only like this shyt to impress men. As if I read fukkin Shunsui and Nanao fanfiction to get a piece if ur wack azz stroke game. Nah. I'm good.

But seriously, I hate boxes and I hate people who can think outside of them. I like a nice handbag just as much as I like "the Last of Us", and I don't do it for male attention but because I've always needed mental stimulation and nerdom helped me self-regulate my behavior early on in life. Otherwise, if I didn't learn to immerse myself in Zelda on gameboy on the road or a good book at home, I would've driven my family crazy trying to keep my mind occupied...

The girl to the farthest right is the type of black nerd girl I like too, but it's hard to meet and have successful relationships with these type of women as an every black guy. Black men on average don't have strong desirability when a woman is involved in activities which don't prioritize black people (and therefore black men). Black men are devalued in the eyes of these women, which makes it very difficult to attract them. On the other hand, the same black women who watches football and listens to hip hop might give some value to black men. The media has a strong effect on women's preferences and twist them accordingly.

Moreover as a nerdy black male, the chances of you attracting a hot normal black girl--who isn't nerdy--is low as normal black girls think nerdy black men lack swag, style, are weird, etc. The media has an effect on nerd black men too, which makes them devalue nerdy black girls who aren't super attractive (unfortunately). So they often end up with white girls.
