I have when I was younger I wouldn't now though. Its true you shouldn't burn bridges and now with websites like Linkedin you can really get thrown under the bus plus people network with each other too. So I learned not to just up and quit be professional. The same way you entered is the way you need to exit.

I always leave on good terms in case I need a good reference. Also those last 2 weeks are usually the easiest 2 weeks you have to work.

in some cases not giving notice can affect some benefits (sick days/vacation) you may have accrued.

:what:

where do y'all work? wal-mart?

Yeah, none of the jobs I've had are ones where I can just not show up for my shift or anything like that.

Even if I hated the job/boss, I still give my 2 weeks. It's the professional thing to do and its dumb as fukk to burn bridges like that.

Usually no, but it depends on the job. My first real job was at school so at the end of the year I was out.

Retail fukk them no call no show. I a gave weeks notice only once cuz the manager was cool with me.

The job I left last I didn't give the two weeks as I had to basically start right away at the new place to go to convention in Atlanta. Needless to say the owner and staff (small office) took it up the ass so that bridge is in flames.
