Man fukk that, this backwards behavior is why black coaches/players get shyt on....cause folks do extra just cause they want somebody who looks like them to succeed.

blind support just cause somebody is black is just as bad the folks who shyt on black players.

that black "protectionism" creates just as much of a problem than what folks think it will solve.

I'm not trying to be racist or expose anyone's racist side. But i remember growing up my uncles, my pops, etc used to say it doesn't matter if you like the team or not its the fact that they have a black coach and if they don't win he doesn't keep his job. so i was wondering if it's still the same with some of ya'll?

yes

but if his wife is white then no

not really.my being a fan of certain players or the teams style of play determines whom I root for more than anything. the coach is kind of irelevant to me.

I think I have a predisposition to wanting to see them succeed, just like how I'd have a predisposition towards wanting any group that is not traditionally in a position of influence to succeed. But I never go overboard with it. It's just a little extra "I hope he does well" just because I get tired of hearing/seeing people of color underrepresented. But it's never to the point where I'd vouch for them over somebody that is obviously more qualified and proven.
