Do you feel people join the Nation Guard, AF, etc... to take the easy way out

that's not really the easy way out. you're signing your life over to be used. i mean, it takes a little less personal responsibility on your part, i guess. since you know things are going to be provided to you as long as you don't fukk up. but that doesn't make it any easier...

In some cases it is but not always.

I joined the military when i was just 17 and during my 6 years in i seen many types that enlist

  • Some do it for the college money
  • Some do it for the other benefits
  • Some do it because they dont have any other way of supporting their families
  • Some do it for the opportunity for adventure and travels
  • Some do it because it's a family tradition

But my advice to anyone is this: If you are joining the military, before you sign that contract make sure you know what YOU want out of it.In what way will this benefit YOU? Once you got that figured out you're good because no matter what Uncle Sam will get his money's worth but YOU might not if you get caught up in the hype.
