I don't think they could more efficiently cool Cody without making him take losses if they set out intentionally to do this. This is probably unintended, but it's masterful execution at getting someone un-over.

If Cody is the prototype, how long before LA Knight gets the finished version aimed at him? I give it by end-of-year before Knight's solidly midcarded. WWE is All Time at taking something over and undoing it, though. I shouldn't be surprised
