Everytime T.I. flopped after Trouble Man, I always go :yeshrug: , say people are missing out and then continue enjoying the music.

I was shocked by Paperwork's numbers though.

I dont care about sales, just the music

My generation never cared about sales. Now mic ratings in the Source was a different story

@maxamusa gave me -5 reps and told me "Forgive these nuts"

Keep all that energy in your life, now I'm really not dealing with you.

I'm happy I've got a hottie girlfriend, proud I quit alcohol for 10 years two months, enjoying adding bass to beats, buying a new keyboard tonight.

And I'm committed to dropping a new Crumple album this year.

I'm grateful to be living in Toronto, not a war torn country where I'm able to make great things happen.

Facts, you over here crying about a neg and telling me your lyfe story when nobody asked....you wouldn't have made it anywhere else kid :mjlol:

1. Considering that Nas is getting Indy money after being a Columbia Records slave, I ain’t trippin. I’m glad that one of my rap heroes is still making music and doing big things in the world.

2. Gucci Mane ain’t never sold big numbers and was always a hood favorite like Boosie. His mixtape stuff lasted the test of time. I already know that he’s gonna do well independently(Gucci said that Big Cat showed him to become a businessman when he was signed)

3. EST Gee’s last couple albums were basura. Nikka needs to be in the studio 24-7. I was mad that he flopped though. He fell off to me around El Toro 2.

I was lowkey ROOTING for “Revival” to flop when it dropped and Em is my GOAT. I was more hurt the album was trash but that damn Stanbase still brought the album by the masses and he went number 1…

But other than that? Nah…

I really don't follow the charts like that like I did back in the 90's and 2000's

back then yeah I would have felt some type of way

I guess you could call Nas last few albums flops commercially but as long as the music is good which it was thats all I care about these days

I wouldn't say "I'd feel emotional pain" but I'd be disappointed because I want the work he put into his music to pay off. so, I do care about recod sale to certain extent.

I think fans should care too because sales affect rappers artistic direction and their careers moving forward.

what if "it was written" was a commercial failure? would Nas's career been the same? What if Canibus debut went double platinum?

so yeah records sales matter in a way.
