I love my mom but my mom is overbearing, controlling, out of touch with some current shyt and my dad is laid back, quiet and lets her take control.

I've learned by growing up that I cant be like my dad to find a woman. And getting with a woman like my mom would mess up the dynamics of the genders.

But some qualities I want my future wife to have that are like my mom....those are managing money well, saving, and being loyal to her husband.

I suppose you could draw a loose parallel, some of the women, (though not all) I date or am attracted to, are cultured, intelligent, into the arts and have a sense of social conscience/rebel/activist....but, that's me too, which I think is more accurately where that attraction comes from, rather then some form of freakish Oedipus complex.
