nah. It relied too much on Jamrock IMO. I ain't from NYC tho

That Welcome to Jamrock song was so sinister that u had Cam and Juelz sampling the beginning months later…
:wow:

Lighters up wasn’t a bad single. I remember singing it along with Jeezy’s Go Crazy. That was a fun summer lookin back on it.

The album was ok but the singles weren’t bad.

This may have been the last decent Lil Kim album.

After that, she fell off. By 05, she became a OG and solidified it when she didn’t rat.

La Bella Mafia was the beginning of the end as well

We don't even get shouted out and this is still an every-year summer banger in London. If you walk end-to-end at Notting Hill carnival and don't hear it from at least one soundsystem, I owe you a Red Stripe.

LOL. Lil Kim hasn't had an album since 2005. She dropped like two mixtapes and an EP in the 20 years since Naked Truth.

Rap was still good back then… R&B was as well

Radio singles were still actual timeless hits

50 and Game’s albums ran the Spring all the way to the fall,

Jeezy had the end of the summer with TM101, it was a slow burn

Kanye had Fall with Late Registration right before I started 3rd Grade(I think it came out during the final week of August)

Juelz and Wayne ran that late Fall/early winter of 05 going into 2006 which helped set the stage for them with I Can’t Feel My Face.

Kids actually still had fun back then.

Dipset and G-Unit members stayed flooding the streets with tapes,
D-Block as well. Jim Jones actually released a good album back when I was a kid and I liked the beat for “What You Drinking On”.

50 made beef entertaining which everyone in top form.

20 years later, we can still speak about that era.

Cats were still burning CDs and making major cheese from it especially if u couldn’t sell weed.

No she hasn’t…

Kim is probably chilling. The fact that she went to prison for a year and came home like it was nothing. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kim was a ghostwriter nowadays. Folks have used her and Biggie’s blueprint to the ground.

I don’t think that she cares about music like that now. The industry was siding with Nicki over her and probably said “Fukk it, I’m always going to be the Queen Bytch”.

Nicki finally understood how Kim felt when Cardi came but the only difference is that Kim was always collaborating with the female artists and wasn’t afraid to put a chick in her place.
