Do you coli pet owners also call yourself 'dog mom'/dog dad or cat mom/cat dad

I consider my dogs fam.
They all got names.
They all get love.
I bury/offer prayers for them when they die.
But at the end of the day, they still animals and I do not put that creepy 'intimacy' on the whole shyts and call them my kids, or myself a Dad.
That's strictly white people shyt.
Same way I don't let my dogs lick mine or anyone else's face short of kids.
Even when I get kids, that shyt ain't happening even though both animal and child will grow together and fond a tight knit bond.​

I used to think it was white folks but a lot of black women the last few years have become "dog moms".

It's wild because I remember growing up if black folks had a dog the dog stayed outside unless it was a hurricane or some shyt
