You're right I didn't grow up with a close family. But your best friends should matter to you (In my opinion) just as much as say your cousins or other distant family, or even a brother if they are that close. Not just someone who could be thrown in the bushes because they aren't family if they feel the same way about you.

i hear that, but for how long have they been your friends? i got like 5+ friends that we all went to kindergarden together/grew up on the same block/still chill to this day daily...i consider them brothers, not only because of the length of time, but because we ALL always looked out for each other like we was brothers

so if you got friends you wanna call family, how WELL do you know them? can you say for a fact they wont ditch you during hard times and turn they back on you?...it takes time to see shyt like that unfold..
