Scared? Don't be so fukking stupid they openly descrimnated against blacks.
There is no reason to use an institution that doesn't have your best interests at heart.

O my money is great, and my money is corporate, dont worry about me. But :heh: @ a dude defending a company that oversaw brokers who discriminated against his people

I think you are confused I wasn't defending wells fargo, I'm just saying its corny to get outraged after they settled, the time to boycott wells Fargo and get your NAACP on passed about a year ago when they suit was made

I hate to be the one to break it to you but nobody gives a fuk about your interests, especially any banking institution, the idea that you are striking a blow against racism by not banking at wells fargo is naive and corny

the moral to this story is the importance of shopping around when looking for loan products

a boycott doesn't make sense after the company settled, I'm not sure why people don't get that

No bank is worth being loyal too, I wish people would stop being so fukking stupid about these things. Worst comes to worst you will probably have to fukk with the FDIC if shyt hits the fan ANYWAY.

The loyalty is the there when the green is there. Hell I read an article in which many banks don't really give a fukk about you until you have at least 10K in there. Which makes a whole lot of sense looking back because when I used to be a broke (mexican looking) fukk out in Lexington I was just a regular customer and they kept it moving. When I started having a nice dollar amount in there? It was all about "hey mr so and so, how are you today?" Hey Here is a number to one of our agents who can help you get started investing.

Back to the point of the thread, if any company is openly stating that they involved in activity like this should not be supported at all. I have never banked with them, now I know to not even consider them an option if I move.

If a company openly discriminates against anyone they shouldn't be supported. You aren't breaking anything to me your the dullest tool in this thread. When racism is right in my face I'm not going to turn a blind eye.
Do other banks do the same thing more than likely but they haven't been caught yet. I'm acting on fact.

No ones saying you shouldn't shop around for loans. That's a given. The thread is about letting people know what can happen to them and what has happened through the actions of Wells Fargo.

You obviously don't understand the point of settling the lawsuit.

It's entertaining watching you act like you have the higher ground here

I fukk wit wells fargo because they are one of the few national banks that offer free checking. I ain't about to pay fees to keep my money at ur bank. As for the mortgage shyt, I have worked at a mortgage company in the past and some of those brokers sell shyt they don't even know that they're selling, they're just selling whats gonna give them the biggest commission. Those independent brokers do all types of foul shyt, but at the same time my company didn't do much to remedy or prevent the bad loans with interest rates doubling and tripling after a few months.

but they werent openly discriminating, thats why i asked if you actually read it, the article says that the independent brokers that worked for wells fargo were discriminating, and wells fargo settled and got rid of the independent contractors instead of fighting it

IMO this doesnt say anything either way, it doesnt make wells fargo anymore or less racist than any other bank, so thats why i say the only lesson from this story is the importance of shopping around

it looks to me like you just read the headline and thats it, going by the basic facts as stated i dont see why negroes should boycott wells fargo after the whole sh*t is done with, you sound like a pseudo activist

im not promoting wells fargo, im just saying that negroes should do business with wells fargo if they can get a good deal

Post-Racial Update: Blacks and Hispanics Pay 3 Percent More for Homes

The paper explains that discrimination could be a factor, as well as relative inexperience with homebuying within black and Hispanic communities.

Finally, they point out that black and Hispanic homebuyers may be less willing to spend as much time searching for homes, in part “because of the expectation of discriminatory treatment in the market.” Knowing this, “sellers might statistically discriminate by holding out for a higher price (i.e., use a higher reservation price) in negotiations,” the paper conclude
