I know there are exceptions, but living in DC there are an abundance of educated career women and I've dated a lot of them. Usually when you meet them they immediately bring up their job, degree and travels. And a lot of time their whole life revolves around their career and trying to move up in the corporate world. I guess all of that is cool to a certain level. Myself, I'm professional and corporate at work, but when I'm off, I'm the same ol' G. I like to drink and talk sh:t. Play cards and dominoes. Usually when I hangout with a lot of these women they don’t want to do traditional black people stuff: bbq, houseparties, etc. They seem to want to distance themselves from our culture. They want to go skiing, and skydiving. That’s why when you go to really popular clubs in DC, most people aren’t dancing, people are just standing around being c00ns. A lot of these women feel they need to be corporate and professional at all times. That sh:t’s wack to me.

And when you date them seriously, all they want to do is try out new restaurants and wine tasting events. Maybe I'm too hood to cross all the way over to full time c00n.

I would agree to an extent. You have to find the ones that are like you that have worked their way into that world. Unfortunately many of those who do often lose their own identity. I know how you feel though. Its extremely rare in corporate America to find a sister who willingly talks to black men without putting up the snobbish fake cultural attitude

I don't think wanting to try out new restaurants and do wine tastings and cultured things is c00nish. What I want is just for a chick to have the best of both worlds. The females Ive dated were college educated and very focused on their careers, but could also let loose too.

I dont like the career women that are prudes and cant turn off thaf I got degrees and pay for all my own shyt vibe. A lot of these broads no nothing about humility. It's like yeh be proud of your accomplishments, but your shyt stinks too.

I'd honestly say "career woman" and "career guys" were the types I tried to not be my whole life. Yeah I could've buried my head in a book and got Straight A's, but I value having a personality/real life experiences over the 4.0

Hell. most black career women feel as if they are too accomplished to mess with black dudes that aren't stiff and most non career black women feel as of black dudes with professional careers are too stiff.

I very rarely encounter young black professional males who date their equals. We usually end up dating down or some really ugly ones like reincar mentioned.

The worst is some of these to the core hoodrats transform into corporate women. They try an talk and giggle like white high school chicks. Disgusting. Still have the weave and gel piled up in their hair.

Now you can be from the hood and not be a hoodrat. I think some of the best women are the humble cute friendly women from humble upbringings that have work their way up but haven't lost themselves. But are not loud and confrontational like some the hoodrats that make it out.
