NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Its hard because jada didn't adapt when the mixtape game changed..

He made his name in the era of compilation mix tape CDs..where it would be 15 different artists on one tape..which is the point I was originally trying to make in the first place..if you go by individual tapes really all jada has to offer is Al queda jada and the champ is here..but that doesn't take into account all his verses on lox mixtape tracks and his verses on clue Kay slay etc..

yea I feel u...

Uh, a discography is pretty much what you have to show as an artist. So I don't see how you can put too much stock in it, when that is basically what we have to go by in terms of judging whether or not you're a dope artist.

It doesn't make sense, it's possible but it just doesn't happen.
Just like someone averaging 3 PPG a whole seasons has 10 games where he drops 60 and a triple double on that. Just like a director doesn't have 2 of the greatest scenes in a wack ass movie.
It's all possible but it doesn't really happen.
If you can make 15 classic songs you can drop a classic album IF you want to.
Jada is a special case, dude doesn't give a fukk about dropping a classic album. He just wants people to buy his album at any price, he had like 40 features (no exaggeration) on his 2 latest album, different producers on every track and on.

If he wanted a classic, with his experience in the game he could call whoever and just get a co-executive producer to help with the direction.

And for that matter I think Jada is the artist who wasted the most talent in hiphop history.

I look at the whole package when I rank artists, I put up the pros and cons and Jada shines in technical skills and features but lacks a lot which puts a lot of people above him.
and this is the reason I can't rock wit it when nikkas that be tryna say he better than Styles...rather than they just like Kiss more..cause he DEF aint better than Styles imo..maybe at pure spittin..but that's it..it's like when he drops an album shyt isn't cohesive AT ALL..it's seems that all he cares about his names...where Styles will work with artists he feels has legit talent and producers as well...Sheek too to a lesser extent...they both make better albums than kiss...

the way i look at it when im rating a rapper i'm considering his abilities as an artist, which means the ability to craft an album that you could listen to all the way through

you need at least one or two classics to be considered as one of the best. if you cant do that, then you're just an occasionally hot mc

it's sorta like comparing a hall of famer in sports with someone who's had one hot season now and then

You only enjoy 2 Nas albums but you have him in your top 3,.
Weirdest shyt I've heard. If you can't produce good music, you're not a good rapper.

You might be a talented spitter or good freestyler or whatever, but imo to be a great musician you need great music.
So a one hit wonder can be a great artist, even though he only dropped that 1 dope song? A QB with more INTs than TDs is a wack QB, not matter if some of the TDs were clever as fukk.

Rappers are not musicians to begin with...
