Do we miss the BCS

We now have a twelve team playoff and there is going to a team to make the playoff with three losses. Its not as exciting anymore. This playoff was supposed to alleviate some of the controversy from the BCS era but even now there have been teams that have been screwed out of spots and the playoff is supposed to be decided on the field but its still decided for a committee. I actually miss the excitement of the regular season along with the discussions around which teams would make it. Am I crazy for this?

I get it, but I'd rather a system that gets us closer to all FBS conference champs having a chance for a national title.

A football version of March Madness where even if you play in the Sun Belt, Pac 2+6, AAC, MAC, Mountain West, Conference USA you still have a shot. That would be even better IMO than this current SEC/Big 10 Invitational.

The only thing I miss about the BCS is it took the prestige out of all the bowl games. I prefer this playoff format though. But it seems the SEC will always have a potential to get 3 teams in.

12 might be too many, but let's play it out and see if there are upsets. BSC fukked a lot of teams over that ended up #3 or #4 but could've won the title.

Besides, the way things are shaping now, if we still had the BCS it would turn into B1G champ vs. SEC champ and leave everyone else screwed.

If you look at the national champions since the 4 team playoff started a lot of them wouldn’t have even been playing for the title under bcs rules.

I think 6...b/c of years like last year. It'll never be perfect...even March Madness when there are 68 teams, you have some mid-major that went 30-2 but lost in their conf. tournament title game in OT and gets left out.
