I never understood how people vote according to their moral opinions. Everybody comes from different walks of life and all of our morals are different. Sure abortion and homosexuality is wrong but how does it effect your life? We got people in here saying they aren't going to vote cause Obama suppots gay marriage what does that have to do with the real needs of the country? Doesn't matter who gets in office peoples morals will not change. But the Economy, jobs, education, and a multitude of things will.

Yup. Certain values and Principles. For me specifically? Chamber/Fiscally Conservative and support of a traditional nuclear family.

What made me think that the party was a fit? Orignally I was born and raised as a Democrat, however once I actually gave an honest unbiased look at both parties, I just felt more intune with the GOP.

i don't think he cares about anybody's pockets but his own. from his standpoint regulations passed under this administration have affected the profitability of his business and in turn his compensation. he is voting based on what directly affects his life, his money and his career. do you not vote based on what directly affects you?

yes, i'm sure dodd-frank is a large part of the regulatory legislation he was referring to.

It's ignorant because people don't understand that voting for your own best intrests while ignoring the needs of the entire country is very shortsighted and will not benefit you in the long run.

Doesn't matter how much money you vote into your own pocket, if the rest of the country goes down, you go down with it. Plenty of people learned this in the recent financial collapse that emptied out their 401ks.

Yeah they were all for less regulation and fiscal responsibility till the shyt hit the fan, then they were applying for Medicaid and SS just like everybody else.
