I don't feel old ..i just think these young nikkas are dumb and too stupid to realize that the music pushed in front of their faces everyday on MTV or BET doesn't represent the real..and there is not enough balance on the radio where there is hip hop for a mature crowd because these rappers aren't making these songs because the rappers that do make these songs can't get a deal..hip hops been in a terrible state since about 2001,...but I really could give a fukk since I listen to mostly underground hip hop.

I bought a Carbon 15 when I was 18
I wouldn't want to check for music that high school kids are checking for

Why would I care what a high-school kid thinks when I'm an adult with a job and a house? No one should care what those little shyts think

*goes back to posting on a forum full of Chief Keef, Future, Justin Timberlake, and Gucci Mane threads :troll:

My thoughts are exactly what most others are on here - i give zero fukks about what high school and college kids listen too.

The gap is much bigger now in terms of taste in hip hop between generations than when i was younger in school or college. We all listened to or appreciated Wu, Nas, Jay, KRS, Kool G Rap, Pac, Big, Mobb Deep, Dead Prez, Ice Cube and so on.

I mean there was some flakey shyt back then too, but nothing like the bullshyt that is out now. There is some truly horrible artists and music out now.

I do feel out of touch, but not because of my age (most of the rappers hs and college kids love are older than me), but because of my moral compass..Certain things I just can't accept or tollerate as a straight Black man...

I’m a 24 years old part time college student/English tutor. But I’m not really checking for new music like that either so you can’t call me bitter. I was born in 1989 so I can’t be written off as disgruntled old dude. However it’s just that today’s hip hop music is flooded with weak, soft, and feminine hipsters with the exception of a few artists. When I turn on the radio, all I hear is feminine homos crying and sounding weak. Hip hop sounds more like homo hop now. I’m from the inner city [Chicago] and so this newer suburban hipster influenced hip hop don’t do nothing for me.

Whether people like it or not, the roots of hip hop started in the slums not the suburbs, that’s why late 2000’s homo suburb/hipster rap can’t compare to the 90’s and early 2000’s hip hop. 90’s/early 2000’s rappers paid homage to the inner city. These new rappers seem like they’ll do whatever it takes to ignore the inner city just to sell songs to white kids in the burbs.

:ohhh: Never thought about this, but it's true that even when I was a youngin' (like around 12-13) we listened to the same stuff the older guys (25-30) listened to...shyt I had older heads drop by and borrow cds :smugfavre:
