I still don't get why you guys are so bothered by the idea of a 50/50 split...if the two of them splitting the money for the fight is the only way to get the fight done then I am all for it and so should everyone else who claims to be a boxing fan.
And that is a base purse which means what Manny gets paid upfront before any of the back end money (ppv, gate etc.). Now I am sure he could make a ton more upfront and back end money if he dropped that shyster Arum and self-promoted but anyone who thinks that all Pacquiao is getting for this fight is $6 million is a moron.

smh of course it is only the base pay but it still says something in comparison to other mainstream boxing base pay.. especially when everything that comes out in public adds to leverage and negotiating the real fight everyone is waiting for..

Why? No one knows Pac's true PPV worth. Vision Quest claimed to have been “stymied” when trying to find out what the real figures generated by the pay-per-view telecasts were.

This really isn't anything new. Everyone practically until floyd, dlh, and b-hop got robbed by promoters. Those three did as well until they broke free. Everyone from Mike Tyson, RJJ, Lennox Lewis, etc. made significantly less from dealing with them snake ass promoters.

And if this was Floyd who it turned out was making so little guaranteed the PAC fans would be calling for his head . Saying he doesn't deserve even a 50/50 split.
