Do Mexicans and Puerto Ricans get along in your city?

fake brotherhood? what do you mean by that. IMO Stateside PRs are the only ethnic group that doesn't overwhelmingly on blacks

In my experience (from NJ), the "Nuyoricans" (ones born in the states/families been here a couple generations) get along with blacks fine (like in NYC). and i've never had problems with island born PRs either

I'm not sure how true that may be for the Black/PR relationship in NYC. But if so then fine.
But I can tell you from living the majority of my life in Philly that PR's are some of the most openly racist people. And I am referring to the everyday local round the way P.rican flacco ass dude, too.
My first and also worse cases of blatant racism have always come from PR's growing up. Yes, you have the ones that are cool. But by far there are more who hate Black people and it disgusts me seeing as how they do nothing but emulate us, even going so far as referring to each other as "nikka".
I've been locked up in Pa. Any Black male that has can tell you how real the PR racism is towards Blacks and if he denies it it's because he thinks they're "cool" and wants to c00n for them.


*edit, got so wrapped up in reminiscing on racism I forgot to mention that I've always wondered about the PR/Mexican relationship. The PR's in Pa. talk pure shyt about them, yet, there aren't many Mexicans in PA either, so it's not a good gauge as to their relationship. I can never think of a city where the two co exist, either. Every city I can think of either has mostly one group or the other. I've always wondered what it would be like in a city where they were equal in numbers..

Jail is different tho... Even in Rikers prcians stick with pricans, blacks with blacks, mexicans with mexicans, etc...

I know like 10 years ago bloods (black gang) and latin kings (ricans) made an alliance in jail under the 5 to ease the racial tensions... Aint been in the streets like that in a long time so I dont know if that pact still holds...

i'm not saying that all blacks love puerto ricans and all puerto ricans love blacks i'm saying the relationship is pretty good compared to any other ethnic group in america. just look at what puerto ricans and blacks have accomplished in NYC (hip hop, Schomburg Center etc), and the amount of black-pr couples there

Are you black or Rican? and From what your saying you must have had a bad experience with Ricans being racist towards you. Im from Philly and Im half black half rican and yes ricans are racist...or maybe the better word is prejudiced but honestly I think ricans and blacks are the closest two ethnic groups in philly. I been in the hood round kensington and on the other side of diamond street.

Honestly from what I've seen being around mexicans all my life is they don't like anyone and will start a rivalry with just about everyone. out in socal, the valley, they have a strong rivalry with armenians of all people. They fight each other like no other every school year start, its like a rumble. they legit fight the armenians more than the blacks. why? I have no idea, but every sept 4 H.S have a rumble between the 2.

They just like to fight, maybe its the azteca warrior spirit. they dont like salvadoreans, ricans, blacks, argentinians, dominicans, asians (the asians gave them that work back in the late 90s), cubans. the only people they seem to give a pass to are anglos.....who oddly enough treat them the worst. strange.
