South Central Los Angeles So Wut U Wanna Do??
they got pau for kwame and marc gasol

memphis came out lovely
fukk outta here:camby: Pau was a top 5 big man at the time who instantly took them to the finals...you're tellin me that that's equal value for someone who wouldn't be in the league for 3 years?? It was a brilliant trade nonetheless it was uneven. You don't trade 3 consecutive trips to the finals for a project I don't care how good that project is

that's a very simple minded way to look at this :mjlol:

memphis had 2 straight 60 loss seasons with pau

you make trades to impove your OWN team, you don't worry about the other squad

memphis was never winning sh*t with pau, the lakers success is irrelevant to memphis success

the gasol trade turned into marc gasol and zach randolph. only a fool would say memphis made a mistake.

and you don't even know the basic facts.

it took marc gasol 3 years to get to the league after the trade? :dahell: bruh what are you talking about?

My bad on the 3 years but lets not act like Jerry West didn't give his old team a gift...and even more importantly how did Zbo get lumped in to this when he was a gift from the clippers after they drafted Blake:comeon:

the cap space they cleared from dumping paus 8 million in salary

marc gasol averaged 12 and 7 as a rookie. he showed a lot of promise immediately.

Pau had them in the playoffs for the first time in franchise history...then they started suckin because of injuries...but u gotta admit that the lakers don't do what they did with Marc instead of Pau...and you gotta admit that trading an elite all-nba big man for kwame brown and somebody who's never played 1 minute in the league is a bit lopsided...especially a mid-season trade

JAVARIS CRITTENTON WAS CONSIDERED AN ALL-STAR CALIBER PROSPECT AT THAT POINT AS WELL....SHOULD FLASHES OF D-WADE LITE WHEN GIVEN MINUTES IN LA. FUCCED HIS CAREER OFF BY JOININ THE CRIPS, BUT THE TRADE WAS CLEARLY BENEFICIAL TO BOTH SIDES.

JORDAN CLARKSON WAS A 2ND ROUND PICK BUT IS STILL CONSIDERED A QUALITY ASSET.

CRITTENTON WAS VIEWED SIMILARLY. A QUALITY ASSET WHO SLIPPED IN THE DRAFT BECAUSE OF CHARACTER ISSUES. IN HIS ONLY 20+ MINUTE GAME AS A LAKER, HE SCORED 19 POINTS. I'M A LAKER FAN AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT LAKER NATIOR WAS SINCERELY EXCITED IN THE KIDS POTENTIAL. ENDED UP PLAYIN 2 SEASONS AND GETTIN INVOLVED IN GANGS, BUT THE POTENTIAL AS A PROSPECT WAS DEFINITELY THERE.

Pau instantly took them to the finals? Pau with zero playoff wins? FOH. The Lakers were already in first place before Pau was even blessed to wear purple and gold.
