Ralph Kiner (RIP) saw it coming. Everytime they would talk about Duda and Ike, he always praised Duda's swing over Ike's.

His body failed him but his mind was still sharp.

Who would have expected that duda would be a top 3 first baseman at the beginning of the season. If they get tulo, they might hit that 90 win number sandy was talking about

I don't know about that this year still, but things look a lot better than they seemed. A lot of dudes in the minors thriving also helps a ton whether as future Mets players or as trade chips.

I'm scared about what we would need to give up in order to get Tulo.... :lupe: Colorado might try to get our whole system for him.

I almost feel like rocking with the Cubs for one of their young shortstop prospects and that money we want them to dish going to our own players in the future not too quick of course and bullpen. It's hard to value acquiring an impact bat vs the prospects only in the sense that you don't know the true short term or long term value of having either the bat or group of prospects.

Has to do with his late and close numbers, which funny enough have improved in the last couple of weeks.

The fat man is just mad the Yankees are horrible during captain flat top's retirement tour and the Mets are getting exciting.

His "clutch" stats aren't great, but Duda does have a .855 OPS right now.

I'm glad I was wrong about him, as I wanted us to keep Ike.
