Because Mets fans are sick and tired of giving the Wilpon's their hard earned money. I think the fact the 7 line was able to get an entire section at YS for a game but you have sections wide open at Citi speaks volumes about the disconnect between ownership and the fans. IMO it's to the point the lack of attendance is much deeper than wins and losses. Speaking for myself, I won't go to another game as long as the Wilpon's own this team. If they sold the team tomorrow I would buy a ticket package.
