Do I need to watch HBO Entourage?

people love to take potshots and clown it but it's always been a very entertaining show for what it was.

to sum up nearly every season of Entourage..things start smooth, things take a wrong turn, the day is saved.
throw in Ari family or business drama, some Johnny Drama fukkery, E's woman problems, some celeb cameos and theres a typical season.

worth watching for Ari alone but yeah, the last two seasons are bad.
the series finale with the Jay In My Lifetime (Remix) playing should have been the final season.

also, Billy Walsh gets overlooked so much too..one of the best parts of the show for me.

I watched all 8 (or whatever) seasons, and I have zero fondness for it at all.

I enjoyed it while it was on, but I will never watch it again, and have no desire to.

It wasn't particularly funny (besides Jeremy Piven as Ari - if anything, watch for him)

It wasn't particularly entertaining.

It wasn't particularly "gripping" (by that I mean week to week cliffhangers etc.)

It's like a C+ on all levels, occasionally hitting a B.



Entourage was of a time, and at the time it was cool, but it's far from the classic material (first 4 seasons or not) that some people consider it to be.

Well, they actually kept him grounded. They weren't yes men at all. And according to Johnny "he earns his keep". Besides, Vince asked them to come out there.

I've never watched an episode either. I bought the Season 1 DVD set years ago, but I ended up selling it off before ever watching it cause I lost interest in getting into the show. But these "Entourage" movie TV promo spots have me interested again



Does "Entourage" have similar feel to HBO's "How to Make it in America", seeing how both shows are produced by Mark Wahlberg & Stephen Levinson?

the comparisons are inevitable but they're not TOO similar. entourage is the better show. it's funnier and more of a feel good watch than the more dramatic how to make it.

it's the ultimate guys guilty pleasure show. young up and coming movie star and his best friends doing whatever they want in la. it's a lot of fun and fukkery.

then somewhere around season 5, everything changes and goes to shyt.

It's a 30 minute comedy, so I never put it on some pedestal. It's just somewhat mindless entertainment and I treated it as such

It's cool but wildly over rated on here. Cats talking about "watch the first 4 seasons!" as if it didn't last 8 seasons, though.

That's the kind of show it is. Had a spark when it started, etc.

This..went through it last fall and found it highly enjoyable..didnt even mind the last two seasons tbh. Ima go thriugh some eps again before the movie..
