Do employers ask for college transcripts?

Looking to secure a part time gig or internship soon

edit: My gpa is 3.28 because I took too many units last semester I think I can get it to 3.4 before I graduate. There's GPA cutoffs for some of these firms. I'm graduating next year

Eh it depends but for the most part no. A copy of the degree should be enough.

i used to work as a background verifier. some spots do check, some spots only verify degrees, some want degree and transcripts, etc

depends on who it is. the paperwork they have you sign authorizing the background should legally contain what they will be checking for so if you get that far, give it a browse.

we used to give our clients the when we found wrong information and they would the applicants because of it.

When I was looking for a job in insurance a lot of places asked for my transcript after an interview. I had some bad marks probably about a 2.9 GPA and didn't get called back It all worked out though

Can you elaborate? Did you eventually land a job in your major/field?

I already have work experience and planning on going to grad school but I need at least one job/internship related to my field to beef up my resume

Big 4 asking for 3.4 minimum. I kept thinking they recruit for spring but its only fall

I was contemplating lying on my shyt which is why I asked. I'll just work for a smaller CPA firm and make sure my grad school gpa is competitive.

90% of internships I saw do...full time jobs only do if its grad recruitment through the school

Some do it, and some don't do it. They're probably only looking at classes within your major to see how that's shaped your GPA.
