Great Question.

The Greatest Ever is Jon Jones (debatable) or You can say Anderson Silva.

The Heavyweight Champ is DC

The Lightweight Champ was DC who is now Jon Jones

The Welterweight Champion is Usman who Just beat Tyron Woodley

Number 1 Contender in the Middleweight Division is Yoel Romero

Greatest Flyweight is Mighty Mouse

The Greatest Figther in the Womans Division is Amanda Nunez

The Top 2 in The Pound for Pound is

  • 1. Daniel Cormier (21-1-0 1NC; 235 lb / 106 kg)
  • 2. Jon Jones (24-1-0; 205 lb / 93kg)
And this is with a small percentage of Black people in the sport

When we get the smaller 5 foot 6 black people to join the sport we have a chance to take over lightweight , featherweight and bantamweight

However i think the best athletes usually decide to take their talents to other sports.:yeshrug:
Wrestlers usually turn to competition Jiu Jitsu/MMA as the ceiling for wrestlers is low after the collegiate level.

And most wrestlers tend to be white.

I noticed you guys didn't address the other part of my post

what are the percentages in terms of Black fighters in MMA and how come every time there is a fight by a cac or non black fighter there's the obligatory highlight of a breh getting knocked out. Seems weird to me. Especially when @blaccbeard claims Black fighters win more than others, so why are they portrayed on the losing end more :jbhmm:

matter of fact who are the dudes Pettis lost to?

Another thing I noticed about the ufc that they will try to cancel out the brothers by having them fight early as contenders rather than build them up at the same time, just check it out it’s not so many brothers in each weight division but as soon as one or both of them goes on a streak they have to fight each other smh

Even though black fighters rep a good portion of the current champs, the UFC wont give them the same push as the white fighters unless they reach that mega star Jon Jones, Rampage Jackson level....and to be honest, I get it. :yeshrug:

Its a business and they have to appeal to their majority audience. We dont support UFC as much as white dudes, it just hasn't broken into the black community yet. And it probably wont as long as black fighters are under-promoted. It's a chicken and the egg situation.:yeshrug:

I'm sure their is a solution to this where black fighters get the push they need and the UFC still caters to their target demographic.....I just don't know what that solution is.

This is a fact. I thought I was the only one who noticed.

The still have to be able to give insecure white boys a false sense of pride to think they got it like that or else white boys will just abandon the sport because they keep getting that work from men they “think” are inferior. :yeshrug:

And Woodley would have washed Colby.

He was relieved when RumbleJohnson all of a sudden decided to leave the UFC.:sas1:

I seen when he threw that match against DC too. Don't think I missed that:ufdup:

But not when you have less than 2 brothers fighting in a weight division Dana will go out of his way to put 2 brothers against each other when it doesn’t make any sense business money and ranking wise

...I’m just thinking of instances I can recall:

Coming up Jon Jones fought Rampage Jackson because Rampage was a highly-ranked challenger, a draw, and a former champion. Later, he fought Rashad because Rashad worked up to shot,

Before he got busted, Jones fought Cormier who had also worked his way up to a shot. When he was gone Cormier had to beat Anthony Johnson twice because Anthony Johnson kept washing challengers and earning a shot.

Later, Cormier fought Silva (to save UFC 200) and Derrick Lewis because Lewis had earned a Heavyweight title shot.

Woodley and Usman just fought because Usman earned a shot at 170.

Demetrius Johnson and John Dodson met multiple times because they were simply the best at 135

If you have a few brehs in each division and they’re washing everyone else, then shouldn’t they have to fight each other.

Heavyweight champ is black. Light heavyweight is black. Welterweight champ is black.
