Look this is the deal.

This woman was probably overjoyed that she was able to get a powerful, well known dude with potential to rise in politics/society even though she’s a single mother with issues in her life. The minute he realizes what he got himself into and backed away she wasn’t having it. We’ve seen this shyt a million times. She’s trying to parlay this into money as a professional activist/author.

3 months ago she called Keith when she ran out of gas on the highway and he filled up her tank :patrice:

And right on que all the stupid right wing nuts will come out of the woodworks against sexual assault. It forces them to either be against it or be hypocrites. We already know what direction they'll take. They love the life of hypocrisy. If he did it then he needs to go. Same as any other person who does it. No exceptions.

This sounds right out of a GOP comments playbook. :wow: I'm not even saying I disagree but imagine going into the Kavanaugh thread with that take.

Keith Ellison isn't running for SCOTUS.

The voters will get to decide if these allegations are believable.

Kavanaugh only has 34 percent approval.

:ohhh:

Nice try.

And none of that has anything to do with my point: that post sounded like something dug out of a Fox News comment section.

But since you want to take it elsewhere should allegations be weighted based upon a potential position the accused is up for? And if Kavanaugh had a 75% approval rating would it then be okay to dismiss Ford as some woman trying to bring down a powerful man? What if he were a Democrat SCOTUS pick? Would we need to reevaluate the believability of Ford's claims?

See how irrelevant all that shyt you introduced was? Nice try though.

It should be weighted on evidence. The Keith Ellison woman sounds like a bunny boiler.
The Kavanaugh chick sounds at least rational.
Next you guage the response, which has gone from "it's a lie!" to "but there was no penetration"
Ultimately you need to decide who to believe, but I would acknowledge that I am willing to give Dems the benefit of the doubt and class the GOP as scumbags, so this may be my bias talking. :jbhmm:

It's funny that Kavanaugh is quick to be called a rapist over something 35 yrs ago the woman can't even remember the location

But Ellison accusations from 2016 and medical records....oh nah he ain't do it

Reverse the parties and each side has the same excuses

Can't we all just admit none of us really care about these women and only care about the advancing of our preferred political parties ideals?

i actually do care about women in general.... personally, i believe ford should have a platform to tell her story... kavanaugh should have an opportunity to present his side of the story too.... i do not know who is telling the truth in this situation and likely will never know.. that is why there should be an investigation.... let's find out as much as we can...

as far as ellison is concerned, i say the exact same thing.... the woman accusing him should have a platform to tell her story... and ellison should have an opportunity to tell his side... again, i don't know who's telling the truth here, but there is more evidence to either prove ellison did it or to prove he didn't... right now the woman is looking kind of sketchy, but let's have an investigation and find out for sure one way or the other...

if we don't start taking these allegations seriously and investigate claims we will end up with either "every claim a woman makes is true" or "every claim a woman makes is false" mindset.... neither is correct... women who are really victims deserve justice and men that are truly innocent deserve to have their accusers prosecuted...

If you have the video, then prove it.

these false rape allegations need to be dealt with much more harshly. I'm talking 10 years minimum, if not the death penalty.:manny:.

The point is that people have a chance to have their say on who represents them.

The second point is also that victims have the opportunity to confront their accuser and lay out their claims.

In the case of Ellison, no one is keeping her from telling her story. And the voters will have the chance to determine if they believe the claims or find them important to their decision.

The issue with Kavanaugh is that the GOP is attempting to push through a wildly unpopular candidate, one who Americans have concerns over, while obstructing the accusers right to lair out their claims, refusing an fbi investigation, and saying they don't actually care if it's credible because it fits the agenda of a few men and downers at odds of the publics will.

But you're an idiot. :yeshrug:
