Jay's bread mostly came from his business deals, not from Rap. Rap was used to propel him in business. Not to mention Hov owned a label.

Most these rapper that move around acting/looking like they're worth $100M+ are actually worth 10% of that at best.

Yeah very rappers are even worth 50Ms let alone a 100. Drake and Eminem are they only ones that made much purely off music. Jay,50, Diddy ,Nas ,Dre ,kanye,made it from business deals, and other forms of entertainment. All the rappers were scamming indie artist during the pandemic as soon as they couldn't tour

I think after his 1998-2000 run, he probably had a lot more bread than Jay-Z. He did more sales, movies, concerts. If Jay got to a billy, he could've if he had any saavy in him. But X don't care about money and zero discipline to invest it.

Most current rappers are worth like $3M-$5M, or under $10M...the other heads that been around are still worth like $20M or so. Of course there are outliers.

Projects that X were a part of may have generated "close to" $1B overall revenue for his entire career, movies he was in, music, helping Ruff Ryders label get big (misconception that he owned it), helping reviving the Lox, helping Eve get big, etc. And even then idk how "close to $1B" that # actually is.
