thing about the Astros is that most of this squad has been here before with their success over the last three seasons. they went down early in the 2017 World Series (on the road) to the Dodgers and won it. they got stomped out 7-0 in game one of the the ALCS this year by the Yankees, etc.
they're a seasoned team that won a must-win game tonight to get back into the series. would be willing to bet they're now looking at it as a "let's just get the series back to Houston" situation instead of game to game panic. meaning .... let's just win one of the next two in Washington and go back home. there is no panic in their locker room.
Washington got hot at the right time, won the Wild Card, and popped off 8 wins in a row. Houston ended that streak tonight in front of their home crowd that was hungry for their first World Series game. how does that affect them going forward? we'll see...
