Lmao and right on cue everyone rush in here to argue some irrelevant shyt rather than facing the reality that someone they respect dare say his top 3 hip hop albums from that era includes one with a white rapper. Now those same mfs will be in here slandering Quik’s name.

MMLP wouldn’t even be close to my top 3 (Doggystyle and Rhythmalism are much closer)...but at the time that came out Em’s buzz was insane levels...I admit I didn’t take him seriously till I heard Guilty Conscience...dope ass concept and beat and Dre. But when MMLP dropped there was a ton of buzz, everyone was curious to see what Em and Dre were cooking up and it was huge.

I don’t listen to that album on replay at all these days, but I can see how people hold it like that.

It was crazy...y’all think Jay got him on Blueprint for nothing? Nas got him to produce for him? Lot of Em’s contemporaries respected him as a rapper...you hear it today...you get shamed for daring to say he was dope. Lot of fakkits running around these days.

fact

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
Doesn’t really change the fact that he is a top 5 producer, I’m sure I’d be pretty surprised with some of my favorite rappers, producers, etc...top picks. They human, and entitled to some garbage, weirdo shyt they like.
