A true classic from an underrated producer!

His first 6 albums are some personal favorites of mine 🔥

smokey robinson a whole bytch for havin removed from the album.. the original had a 3 min jam session..which was suppose to have been a quiks groove.. rhythmalism is the only album without a true quiks groove...

he gave smokey album credits and everything for

..even tho they remade the beat...

Agreed.

Even tho Balance and Options is a personal favorite for sentimental reasons, I think about the space Quik was in when Rhythm-al-ism came out.

The Death Row ship had already sunk and Suga Free’s first album was already out. It was his time to shine with no label drama and no gangsta shyt blatantly around even tho Quik has always had bullshyt surrounding him. But the features on this album were on point and we got a taste of Mausberg and El Debarge was rocking with Quik as well

And speaking of El DeBarge, I would literally pay for a studio version of “I Like It” under Quik production like this performance here:

This shyt slap so hard with Quik’s elements under it

:wow:

So fukking smooth

Kind of cheating but I think Quick is his best on his live album. Instruments are amazing and Fandango live is 10x better than the studio version

Breh I saw Quik a month ago (no lie) and literally asked him about getting a CD quality version of this.

I legit said to release it for a day so the fans could rip it and take it down. He said it's not hard to re-produce shyt like that and he didnt touch on it again.

But I doubt he will do it :mjcry:

I wish he would.

I met him years ago at a bar. Shook his hand told him I listen to Safe + Sound every day. He kinda just blew me off. Im happy I met him though.

Sucks that he did you like that but we all know Quik is bootleg bi polar. Gotta catch him on a good day I guess. But he showed me love, took a pic, video and we chopped it up for a little bit before the show.

But I gotta see Suga Free in concert one of these days.
