Agreed.

Even tho Balance and Options is a personal favorite for sentimental reasons, I think about the space Quik was in when Rhythm-al-ism came out.

The Death Row ship had already sunk and Suga Free’s first album was already out. It was his time to shine with no label drama and no gangsta shyt blatantly around even tho Quik has always had bullshyt surrounding him. But the features on this album were on point and we got a taste of Mausberg and El Debarge was rocking with Quik as well

And speaking of El DeBarge, I would literally pay for a studio version of “I Like It” under Quik production like this performance here:



This shyt slap so hard with Quik’s elements under it
