I think it's a track to create some buzz before KD3 drops. Like Kendrick dropping the Heart Pt. 5 before his album dropped. Nas and Hit probably won't release a track prior to KD3 (how they did with KD2).

Could just be a DJ Premier single not attached to anything like the one with 2 Chainz last year.

That statement was two years ago and we didn't hear anything about it since. He's been working mostly with Hit-Boy.
That wouldn't be the first time nothing comes out from a tease.
We don't have much longer to wait to find out tho. I would love it if it was an album but I rather not get my hopes up for nothing.
I still believe we're getting KD 3 this summer so it's all good we gonna eat regardless, atleast one song next friday and an album later whether it's KD 3 or something else with Primo.

Ever since Nas has been independent the tease has come true. But we will see. Being “mum” means you aren’t supposed to hear anything else until it happens. But you could be right though. Atleast we will see this week.

It's crazy this is the 4th year since "Nasir" after 6 years hiatus and in these 4 years he's given us:
