Every producer has a lackluster beat here or there but it's about body of work. Salaam got stripes, fall back. Loving the lyrics too, it's about black business, ownership and empowerment.

Gotta give it to Nas he's one of the few 90s greats that hasn't lost a step lyrically. Even a half workable beat and he can kill it. Success of his next album, as always, depends on production.

Has there ever been a rapper maintain star relevancy as long as Nas (excluding Dre)? His next album will hit #1 on the Billboard 200.

It's weird that his popularity nor skill level has ever taken a significant dip. Life is Good moved over 350,000 units and his next LP will move similar numbers. He gets far too much criticism for peaking early. He was a perfect MC from the jump, hard to fault a man for that.
