I saw Mo Bee and Serch when they made their marks in the game. They aren't pioneers in any way to me. The other men were making their marks as the culture was coming together, and their contributions to hip hop are set in stone.

actually folks like mo bee are just as important as the poineers. mo bee was a first generation fan. especially mo bee being a brooklyn guy, he had first hand experience of seeing this culture when it came over from the bronx. and offer a very unique perspective.

I'll post the Easy Moe Bee interview here.

*though I still don't think that this contribution comes close to the other men featured in the series.
You can't write an accurate history of hip hop without including the others. You could leave out EMB.

One of the most interesting things I picked up from pioneer interviews and clips is that many of them dabbled in OTHER elements of hip hop before they became legends in what they are known for.

Caz used to be a DJ for example. Kay Slay was a grafitti artist back in the day. Heard for years that he was featured in Style Wars as Dezzy Dez.

REST IN PEACE TO DEZ / KAY SLAY
