This isn’t even on some team Disney shyt but...yeah idk what’s going on here
Not good enoughLike Disney doesn't have 70+ years of movies and television to draw from.
They had 10 mil first day. I think they're fine coli accountants
Here’s how the coli works:
Coli poster: they didn’t do this thing that I wanted therefore this thing is a failure
Rest of the world: this is dope! Big success!
Coli poster: They gotta be trolling or paid off or plants
Because why? This is what I’m asking. Why would they? For what? To what end? There’s more than enough content there. More than enough. Dropping a marvel movie on the service wouldn’t be a great look because you want to keep those special. The need to be seen in a theater first and foremost. Why fukk with that?Come on people.. Nobody said they didn't do numbers or they didn't make any money on their release day and who said that they were a failure
Nobody is even pocket watching. Ya'll adding shyt that's not even there. So you guys would be opposed to them dropping a big movie on their opening weekend for their brand new steaming service? That's too much to ask and "The Coli" is this and that for even mentioning something so absurd like "gasp" a new movie being dropped on a much hyped bally-hooed streaming platform owned by one of the biggest monsters on the planet. Oh the audacity of The Coli, please forgive us
They should’ve at least dropped a new Marvel shot.
they lucky its kinda cheap and the Mandalorian is good. Other than that its just aight.
Couple docs and original movies as well
IS THE MANDALORIAN IS THE ONLY NEW shyt
ON THE NETWORK SO FAR?
Yes their catalog is fukking huge.. everyone knows this especially when they acquired Fox.. WHY? Why not!! True they don't have to do shyt but drop all their classics which they pretty much did. But why not come out with the uppercut blow to the chin. Drop Iron Man 4(for example) on D+ then roll out the, "If you want IM4 then the only place to see it is on Disney Plus" campaign. Come in with guns blazin'! I'm pretty sure Netflix wanted to do that type of thing with The Irishman but they wanted to please the academy and get The Irishman on the award circuit.Because why? And my bad I’ll take the L on saying you were pocket watching. That was out of line. But from a creative standpoint, I don’t see why you’d put a movie there. You got your tv shows? Cool drop those there. But there is too much damn content there as is not to mention the mandalorian
But it just seems unnecessary to me. For real. Keep your movies special by keeping them in the theater. That’s just how I see it. The minute you say a marvel movie is premiering on Disney + then it changes that conversation and changes the feel. And of course, hurts the box office cause who knows while also hurting the talent because now they don’t have any actual numbers to back up their work.Yes their catalog is fukking huge.. everyone knows this especially when they acquired Fox.. -its just a thought breh. That move was set perfectly for them to take it and I thought they would do that. Yes they're still a success and have the massive humongous library to fall back on, none of that has changed. Its not a- "Their huge library isn't enough for you" complaint from me. It was that they had a nice play at hand/ace up the sleeve if they wanted to take it but they didn't. No harm no foul
And welcome to the streaming world brehBut it just seems unnecessary to me. For real. Keep your movies special by keeping them in the theater. That’s just how I see it. I’m not saying special in terms of all dope but special in terms of events audiences feel like they have to be at and have to show up at. You b*stardize them by premiering on Disney +And welcome to the streaming world breh
And to keep it a buck. All the Marvel movies aren't special. The better ones go on to make over a billion plus but mostly their not that highly regarded so much in that one flick premiering on Disney+ would hurt their overall appeal. Shield on ABC, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Jessica, and Iron Fist didn't hurt their box office releases and tarnish their brand. Yeah they probably won't get the correct numbers on how many people watches a new film released on Disney+ but that's the game they're entering and they'll have to eventually embrace it.
Plus its a move that sets the tone for things to come from Disney+.. The streets would've been abuzz with a Marvel movie dropping on the streaming service plus you might double your subscription base in one swoop from a move like that. And maybe they would take a loss on it financially but you gain move love, publicity, and support from the public in the long run. Its the drug kingpen handing out turkeys on thanksgiving move. Its chess not checkers breh
