So they did all that reading between the lines for these nearly irrelevant characters... But see no problem with their only black princess's big dream being to serve food while her prince wants nothing more than to sing and dance at her lil' restaurant?
Like everyone other princess runs a kingdom or wants to bring peace to the land and people, while Princess Tiana just wants to bring you a damn plate of red beans and rice.
Prince Naveen spent nearly the entire move being a broke nikka. His first scene is him trying to pick up some PAWGs by singing and dancing, then he tries to pop bottles and buy everyone drinks (typical hood nikka shyt) and gets told that he's broke and needs to get a job. Instead of getting a job, he meets some shady dude with the hope of tricking himself out to a rich woman.
She's the only princess whose castle and kingdom we never see, spent the majority of the movie as a frog, there is never talk of them ascending the throne and ruling over Maldonia, she's also the only princess whose 'true love' spent a third of the movie lusting after and entertaining other (noticeably lighter) women, and I'm pretty sure she put up the down payment for that restaurant.
Movie lowkey shat on any black girl's dreams of being a true princess by churning out this 'working-class princess' bullshyt that they only did for this one film. Disney didn't have to go that deep to find some problematic shyt.
