It's pretty normal right now actually. They send multiple units to shoot scenes concurrently and technology has advanced considerably.

Exactly. They will shoot about 5 months and maybe another month in reshoots so that 6 months. Then it will be a year in post production cause Star Wars is huge about special effects so most of the work for Star Wars is actually from a technological side.

Watching "Return of the Jedi" as a kid was Legendary. So cool the story is taking place basically in real time with it being 30 years later.

with the rumors of N'yongo and Attack the Block kid, they better not fukk around and make some completely unnecessary adoption storyline or something. Completely fine with those actors being Windus or Calrissians, but i assume the main cast will be Solo/Skywalkers?
