Johnson, both terms of Nixon, and the Ford tenure, playing his last game the same year that Jimmy Carter was elected president. He had left to play QB at Kentucky as World War II was ending, went pro for the Bears before the Korean War had even started, and kicked his last FG in the 1976 AFC Championship game after soldiers had come home from Vietnam.
He passed away during Obama's first term in 2010.

He came into the league when John Elway, Dan Marino and Jim Kelly were just entering their primes as QB's, and left the NFL when Ben Roerhlisberger, Phillip Rivers and Eli Manning were just entering their primes as QB's. He was throwing passes at the U to Michael Irvin and was redshirted his sophomore year behind Bernie Kosar. In his final NFL season, he was throwing passes to Steve Smith. His first season in the NFL was the strike shortened 1987 NFL season, and he was playing in the NFL when guys like Jimmy the Greek were still doing the halftime show on CBS. He retired at age 44.
