George Blanda was born during the Coolidge Administration, two years before the great Stock Market Crash of 1929.

Had a football career that lasted both terms of Truman, both terms of Eisenhower, the Kennedy presidency, both terms of Lyndon B. Johnson, both terms of Nixon, and the Ford tenure, playing his last game the same year that Jimmy Carter was elected president. He had left to play QB at Kentucky as World War II was ending, went pro for the Bears before the Korean War had even started, and kicked his last FG in the 1976 AFC Championship game after soldiers had come home from Vietnam.

He passed away during Obama's first term in 2010.

Tom Brady will be this kind of figure for the NFL in the future. He's one of only a few players ever to play in 3 decades in the NFL (2000's, 2010's and 2020's). He was drafted when guys like Troy Aikman, Randall Cunningham, Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith and Vinny Testaverde were still integral parts to their teams, LOL.

Vinny Testaverde is also an interesting player. He was drafted in 1987, and played in the NFL until 2007. He came into the league when John Elway, Dan Marino and Jim Kelly were just entering their primes as QB's, and left the NFL when Ben Roerhlisberger, Phillip Rivers and Eli Manning were just entering their primes as QB's. He was throwing passes at the U to Michael Irvin and was redshirted his sophomore year behind Bernie Kosar. In his final NFL season, he was throwing passes to Steve Smith. His first season in the NFL was the strike shortened 1987 NFL season, and he was playing in the NFL when guys like Jimmy the Greek were still doing the halftime show on CBS. He retired at age 44.

Crazy! any others like this?

MJ was teammates with George Gervin on the Bulls, but I can't think of another teammate of his that stretches the generation gap like this

There’s a big thread on Twitter about this actually

I remember this was a big deal in the moment. The Suns had just drafted Nash and then traded for Kidd. They played two seasons together, IIRC.

The other crazy thing is Rex Chapman was the starting 2. :dead:

This is an insane pic tho:

When Dennis Rodman signed with the Dallas Mavericks in 1999, he requested to wear No. 69.

The team printed up a few jerseys which Mark Cuban still allegedly has. But the NBA vetoed the jersey number and Rodman settled on No. 70.

:pachaha::pachaha::pachaha:
Rodman also played with Kobe and Shaq.

John Salley also played with Isiah Thomas, Dennis Rodman, Joe Dumars, Jordan, Pippen, Kobe and Shaq.
