Is he going back to Tango?
It doesn't make sense due to his age and by the time he's ready he might only have 1 game in him or not even that. I think he most likely just wanted out of Microsoft and still wants his games to be available on Playstation. I think it's hard to convince a veteran Japanese dev to make games only for Xbox and PC and not include Nintendo or Sony. The only way it works if money talks or the developer is like Itagaki where he doesn't fukk with Sonyi dont understand what Mikami would start another another company when he just sold his old one and left

Yeah, most won't know about these deals except c-suites. However, it's messed up not to notify the head of studios before the public. It's still an odd move as you've said, but I think it's most likely not wanting to exclude a Japanese console manufacturer, so he went on to make another studio.. I am just unsure about that because the dude is almost 60, but hey it might work out because Tango is in good shapeI think that’s gonna end up being the case with a lot of developers tbh a lot of them weren’t notified or aware of the zenimax sale until we knew. I remember Dinga Bakaba of Arkane saying he was surprised to find out with the rest of us
