They're missing a little common sense as an organization. Lamar takes them on a drive to go up 1 with a little under 3 minutes then instead of the DC zoning up and keeping things in front, he blitzes while manned up with back up corners, and I'm almost positive he'd been doing it all game and it hadn't been working.
The GM saw this game and for some reason seemingly got the idea that they win this game if Bateman/Flowers catches one or two more balls, or Hamilton catches that interception, which I'm basing off of this trade. This entire regime seems like it's Tony Dungy before Jon Gruden. They get Lamar WRs, but they're all short and unreliable. They get Derrick Henry, but ignore him when they should feed him. It seems like with all of the little details you need to get right to win they choose the wrong option on the coaching and GM level. That's what this trade looks like it's more of. The offense has been cooking. They don't need another #2 style WR.
They need corners and maybe even a new DC, but traded for a WR......If you were going to get a WR then do like KC and get Hopkins aka a true #1. It wouldn't have cost them much more.
