It's funny, because everyone's path to becoming rich depends a lot on their circumstances. So any advice they can give you would by default have to be generic, since anything else would be very specific to their life.
Jay z sold drugs, made money, lived in NY, got in contact with other rappers, moved up, made big albums, started roc-a-wear, etc.
Obviously amnit any random person can just sell drugs like and be a rapper like him - your city, your city's drug market, police, modern music industry, etc. Affect that. So all Jay Z can do is tell you "don't stop hustling, make money and flip it into new ventures"
