A baby won't miss you, a grown woman will.

If you going to see your friends baby = godfather, you better not be empty handed, if you didn't shower the baby, you better show up with toys gift cards, etc.

If your ex get prego from this, you will be even with your friends baby, if not at least you will have gifts for them so they will tolerate your absence, plus you will be a pleasant surprise instead of them hating on your broke ass after you leave. At least buy a box of diapers/formula for the new parents to show your tribute, if you care, 99% they on WIC and public assistance anyway, how can they be picky?
