That’s very hard....I fux with both groups heavy. Bizarre Ride is a fun ass album but Labcabin is a pretty dope ass piece of work from Jay Dee.

Reachin is a very beautiful and advanced album but Blowout Comb gotta be one of the most unique albums in the history of Hip Hop and is in my personal Top 25 Fav 90’s Hip Hop albums. Blowout Comb is also a very BLACK album as well, even more so than Aquemini and To Pimp A Butterfly IMO.

Imma ride with Digable Planets but I would’ve been cool as hell to chill with both groups if I was older in the 90’s. Them nikkas were like the OG Blipsters but nothing was a gimmick to them, they were serious about what they was talking about especially DP

I also find it really cool that Ladybug Mecca is originally from the DMV via Silver Spring, MD too. When I found that out, I was like

'Blowout Comb' slaps the shyt outta any Pharcyde album, but the Digs don't have a joint harder than "Passin Me By"....that beat is still cold af.

I always thought these two groups had similar vibes with the whole jazz rap nerd rap thing goin on. One from the west and one from the east. I saw recently they’re doing shows together which is dope af. Seen them live separately before but would be nice to catch them on the same bill
